On June 26, I will release a remastered version of Winter Solstice on all available DSPs.

The track originally appeared on December 8, 2020, as part of The Snow Globe, a collaborative album by musicians from the DIY Hard community. It was the second album created by that international group of supportive independent artists, bringing together music from different parts of the world in one shared winter-themed release. The DIY Hard Bandcamp page still lists The Snow Globe among its releases.  

After more than five years, I felt it was time to return to the track with fresh ears. Like much of my older work, Winter Solstice started from a spark of inspiration — in this case, “Hallucinations” by Belgian electronic music pioneer Praga Khan, from the album Soundscraper. That influence was never about copying, but about chasing a certain mood: dark electronic energy, cinematic tension, and the feeling of being pulled into another atmosphere.

The remastered version gives Winter Solstice a new life. The essence of the original remains intact, but the sound has been refined, opened up, and prepared for a wider release across streaming platforms.

A track born in winter, shaped by memory, and now returning with a clearer, stronger sound.
