Brussels was born from a long-time fascination with Brussels by Night, one of my favorite Flemish films, and with the music of Raymond van het Groenewoud, whose 1979 track gave the movie its unforgettable title.

The aRTyTea track is not a cover, but a personal echo — inspired by the atmosphere of the film, the nocturnal pull of the city, and the mood of Raymond’s original title track. Blending SynthPop, Synthwave, Electro, Wave, and Electronica, it imagines Brussels after dark: restless streets, neon reflections, lonely movement, hidden stories, and that strange mix of melancholy and energy that only a city at night can hold.

With Brussels, aRTyTea turns that cinematic feeling into electronic music — a tribute to memory, mood, and the city lights that keep calling after midnight.
